The Sindhi Muslim Commercial Area has seen a surge in upscale restaurants in recent years, and from being a relatively quiet area, this place has undergone a transformation that sees throngs of food-lovers flock to the area for foods of all kinds. Kahva is one of the upscale restaurants serving such people in the vicinity, and with its location just a touch away from the main intersection, the restaurant is relatively easier to get to.
Walking into the restaurant, I found myself greeted promptly by a waiter who took me upstairs to the seating area. Guests have the option of sitting at the formal dinner tables, or if they feeling a little more casual, on the couches. The restaurant takes great pride in the seafood and steaks that it serves, and being a fan of steaks myself, I decided to order their special steak with jalapeño sauce for my entrée. I also decided to try out their seafood by ordering their pan-seared calamari, and a lime margarita for a drink. My friend decided to order the Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta for himself.
Appetizers came out promptly and the calamari looked very appetizing to the eye. It had the perfect amount of spices to it, and the mayo dip that came on the side did a fine job of complementing the flavors in the calamari. I would also like to inform people who do not eat calamari a lot to be aware of the fact that calamari is a touch chewy, so do not think that it has been undercooked.
The steak and pasta arrived once the waiter cleared the table of our appetizer, and once again, the food looked very appetizing. The portions were generous to say the least, and the steak was cooked to perfection for my liking (medium rare). My friend, who is an avid lover of pasta, also found his entrée cooked perfectly and felt that the flavors were just right. With the steak being a little too spicy, the margarita was a perfect drink as it cooled down the spicy flavors of the steak.
For dessert, we decided to share the molten chocolate cake, which, the waiter said, was the specialty dessert at Kahva. We were also informed that it would take 15-20 minutes to get the dessert out, as the cake was baked to order. Exaclty 17 minutes after we places the order, the cake arrived accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. As we dug into the cake, a rich chocolate sauce oozed out and me and my friend just could not stop eating the dessert until our plate was wiped clean.
The ambiance and mood at Kahva is intimate and cozy, and one feels extremely relaxed in the restaurant. The waiters are prompt and know the menu very accurately. They are quick to suggest specialties of the restaurant and are always on hand to help customers pick out the right item from the menu. This, coupled with the quality of the food that the restaurant orders makes for a satisfying trip from Clifton to Sindhi Muslim. In terms of cost, the restaurant is a little pricey, but the quality and quantity of the food does justice to their pricing.

This place is really great , i usually go with my friends for lunch and much more and we usually go on weekends . Its a good time spending place and i appreciate all the workers over there who have maintained it very well and staff is also good .
The taste of their food is unique and delicious which one cant wait to have and a very nice crowded place for family also so everyone should at least once try this place for fun and much more to do :)

The first time i went to Kahva,was in its early days.Went with a few friends on our way back from college.We were feeling experimental so went to Kahva, this new place we had heard of.
The ambiance was inviting yet what impressed me the most was the waiters. Extremely well spoken and the most impressive part was at the end;the waiter asked us if we would now like to order coffee/kahva/"liquid", im assuming the specialty of the place.We said "no thankyou" for we dint have enough money.He told us that it was okey and gave us fee drinks, "of our choices", ON THE HOUSE!!

i dont know about the prices yet but i think 800 per person is a lil too much for students.

i went to this restaurant few times and found it pretty ok.. The location of the restaurant is not good, it should be in the area like defence and clifton to gather bigger market.

So finally I went and tried this place out, must say very interesting flavors and love the ambiance too. A pretty good place to go with your family and friends!=)

Driving by the name caught my eye. So I had to try! I must say that it should be experienced as the there are not that many places where the staff is polite and knowledgeable. The servings were generous and agreeable to the palette. I wish there was an open area to serve as a coffee lounge.

Hi, i am a more in-depth lover of flavors rather then a form of a dish (i.e to say i like experimental cooking), i agree with the patalagao's official review............a 100%.........the environment is nice and cozy........the service is prompt........certain items on the menu were excellent but now i feel as certain items (like the shrimp salad)lacks creative with flavors and generosity with portions! but that is only true with a few of their dishes....over all i would encourage u to visit and enjoy........i would give it a 4 out of 5!!!!!!!!
